About this artwork
"American Girls' day Out" is a charming painting honoring the American girl scouts and their fund raising efforts selling cookies. The Girl Scouts of America in the United States of America began on March 12, 1912 when Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low organized the first girl Guide troop meeting of 18 girls in Savannah, Georgia. Note the spreading of daisies through out the painting in remembrance of Juliette. A terrific American folk art painting… of a true American organization.
