About this artwork
Through delicate expression, I reveal the complex-looking shape and the emotion I want to reveal. The smallest unit of image in the work is 'cell'. Fragile and tiny cells combine to form a single 'cell mass', and they combine again to form a harder 'crystal'. It is in the same context as an individual's 'belief' generates 'actions and emotions' and these pieces of daily life come together to become 'life'. Cells that symbolize good will and love… gather and appear in various shapes. Through my work, I am trying to show that happy memories remain 'crystals' in our hearts and enrich our lives.
I poured my heart into this piece, blending oil pastels and colored pencils to capture the gentle dance of light and color. The soft pinks and yellows evoke warmth and joy, inviting a serene yet lively energy into any space. This abstract moment celebrates the beauty found in fleeting, delicate bursts—perfect to uplift and inspire in your home.
Seung Yun is a painter with a rich history of solo and group exhibitions, employing pen and acrylic paint as her primary mediums. Her technique is distinguished by the meticulous depiction of organic forms, with delicate, thin lines coming together as cells to build intricate, crystalline masses, all crafted to evoke proliferation and interconnectedness. Through her distinctive style, Seung Yun’s works radiate vitality and growth, immersing viewers in a world that celebrates the profound energy of life and love.
