About this artwork
This artwork is an abstract landscape, a distillation of a tranquil moment on the Hudson Riverbank in New York, , on a calm day. The painting is divided by a bold line of burnt orange and gold, representing the sunlight illuminating the opposite bank. The top half, in layers of misty green and deep blue, suggests the distant, rolling hills on the opposite shore. In the foreground, the vibrant aquamarine and turquoise hues capture the peaceful, reflective… surface of the water itself. The entire piece is about capturing a feeling, a moment of stillness and serene beauty.
The artwork is framed in a white wooden floater frame for a finished look
« My art comes from a positive and happy place, inspired by my fond memories of time spent in nature. »
I am a New York based artist, who until recently worked out of California, and my paintings are a mix of abstract and semi abstract portrayals, mainly of nature. My body of work primarily consists of semi loose, bright, lyrical landscapes with a fresh, modern rendering, of something familiar, and known, yet abstract enough for modern sensibilities. My work has been featured and sold for many years on Williams Sonoma Home, sold on curated collections on One Kings Lane, featured in magazines like Elle Décor, Popsugar.com, featured on Times Square Billboards, various online juried magazines like SD Voyager, Canvas Rebel, Still Point Gallery. I was able to exhibit and sell successfully at major Art Fairs like Hamptons Fine Art Fair, Art Market SF, Spectrum Miami, among others, and sold my artwork to various collectors both in the USA and internationally
