About this artwork
To capture the essence of movement, of the ephemeral, of the memory of time.
Layers of materials and colors, intertwined like strata of memories.
The lines, carving into the pictorial surface, intersect and respond to one another, adding or removing material until they give birth
a dialogue between presence and absence.
Thus, a striking contrast is established between light and darkness, between density and transparency.
The lines, supple and… curved, evoke the freedom of movement, the continuity of breath
They whisper of the passage of time and remind us of the impermanence of things.
From this alchemy is born a painting that is both mystical and contemplative, carrying a silent energy, inviting the
meditation and introspection.
« It is impossible for me to confine myself and make a choice to express myself in a single language. »
KARDESCH is a visual artist, originally from the Basque Country where she lives and works. From a very young age, She immerses herself in abstract art, drawing from it a mode of personal expression to interpret the the world around her. She structures her research with numbered series, increasingly refusing to title her canvases. Kardesch, woman and artist, prefers the coherence of cycles, those very same that give rhythm to life, the intertwined, woven logics. It stubbornly resists interpretation criticism that could constrain the vital energy that characterizes it and would like to define what continues to to write. She exhibits regularly in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Ile de France. Her works are also present internationally (Geneva, New York, Miami, Osaka, Seoul).
