About this artwork
In my 2017 work, "After Swimming", I sought to capture that fleeting, ethereal moment between the embrace of the water and the warmth of the shore. This piece is an exploration of metaphysical lyricism, where the female form acts as a delicate medium through which the surrounding atmosphere breathes.
The deliberate use of a vibrant red contour serves as a vital pulse, distinguishing the softness of the figure from the hazy, almost dreamlike background.… The translucent fabric veiling the face introduces a sense of mystery—transforming the subject from a specific individual into a universal allegory of purity and renewal. Through a palette of soft pastels, the sky and sand merge into a quiet symphony, balancing sensual realism with a surrealist dreamscape.
