Creating this image from the Dots series creates a balance between graphic and painterly elements. This image of the series contrasts the linear elements and structures of the urban space with deliberately disordered structures and spray paint.
Various levels, partly transparent, partly opaque, let individual graphic elements shine through and thus create an exciting picture on which… there is a lot to be found.
The images are created in an intuitive process in which incompleteness, disorder and chaos are allowed. They are deliberately not planned.
Fine structures and a lively application of paint create a deliberately tactile and disorderly impression. Inspiration for the pictures are always the graphic elements of the design and the urban environment of the artists.

The Lehmann sisters create a symbiosis of graphics and intuition with their acrylic-based paintings. Their works are created by merging abstract motifs, sewn canvases and urban impressions. Their art radiates a complexity of emotions that captures and reflects shared moments of the "now". Karen and Simone Lehmann from Cologne are sisters and have been working together as freelance artists and designers since 2004. They run the art project "Lousissyart", which specializes in abstract and modern figurative painting. Their works are characterized by an intuitive painting style and an expressive approach. The sisters use acrylic and mixed media on canvas and wood, with their artworks conveying a personal touch and authentic emotions.
