About this artwork
The last glow of the setting sun is lingering over the mountain and valley. This is loosely-painted with a palette knife. It comes with a black float frame.
« People see me as a colorist, but I really am looking for the darkness in the picture. And, in order to have darkness, I have to find the light. »
Kari Feuer is an award-winning artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Inspired by a love of nature, her distinctive abstractions reference land and water forms. While Feuer does not enjoy creating message-based pieces, she admits that her concern for the depredations of our natural environment often carries over into her work. She primarily creates with oils on linen or canvas.
