About this artwork
This painting is one from the series "Endless summer". Artist want to depict desires and feelings about summer, which could last forever. The inspiration was the artist's desire to go somewhere near the ocean where the climate and light is constantly warm. This painting is created with combine technique of decollage and acrylic. Artist glued paper on parts of canvas and paint on its surface, then tore the edge of the paper and made a wave out of… it.
Karin Teren Langová is a painter with a Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, who also refined her practice during a pivotal study placement in France. She employs vibrant, contrasting colors on both paper and canvas, skillfully integrating collage, décollage, and layering techniques that bridge abstraction and figuration. Her expressive compositions include geometric structures, ornamental underlayers, and minimalist modes, all underpinned by nuanced explorations of memory and perception. Her artworks radiate a sense of contemplative curiosity, inviting viewers into a tender dialogue between feeling and expression.
