About this artwork
In this piece, I explore freedom emerging from restraint through geometric simplicity. The golden shape anchors calm, while the broken lines burst upward, symbolizing release and hope. The soft gradient backdrop breathes gentle energy, inviting reflection. This painting brings serene strength and subtle optimism, perfect to uplift and inspire any space it inhabits.
Karin Teren Langová is a painter with a Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, who also refined her practice during a pivotal study placement in France. She employs vibrant, contrasting colors on both paper and canvas, skillfully integrating collage, décollage, and layering techniques that bridge abstraction and figuration. Her expressive compositions include geometric structures, ornamental underlayers, and minimalist modes, all underpinned by nuanced explorations of memory and perception. Her artworks radiate a sense of contemplative curiosity, inviting viewers into a tender dialogue between feeling and expression.
