About this artwork
The Playfulness series is characterized by recurring motifs of children’s toys, molds, sandboxes, climbing frames, and totems. In this piece, I explored bold geometry and vibrant contrast to evoke warmth and curiosity. I created this piece to capture the flowing energy of water in motion, using dynamic brushstrokes and layered blues to evoke a sense of rhythm and calm. Karin Teren Langová is a painter with a Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, who also refined her practice during a pivotal study placement in France. Her expressive compositions include geometric structures, ornamental underlayers, and minimalist modes, all underpinned by nuanced explorations of memory and perception.
