About this artwork
Das Thema Weltraum hat mich schon immer interessiert und ich habe es immer wieder in meine Ölgemälde aus der Kategorie "Oh mein Gott, warum ist das so teuer?!" integriert.
Natürlich kam ich an den japanischen Dogu-Figuren nicht vorbei, die mehr Fragen als Antworten bereithalten. Die einen Wissenschaftlern halten sie für Außerirdische in Spezialanzügen für Weltraumreise. Andere glauben, dass sie einfach Frauen im gebärfähigen Alter darstellen und… bei Fruchtbarkeitsritualen verwendet wurden. Eine eindeutige Theorie gibt es jedoch nicht.
Ich zum Beispiel neige eher zur ersten Hypothese. Deshalb habe ich beschlossen, dieser Figur einen außerirdischen Touch zu geben, und einen Sternenhimmel hinzugefügt, und die dünnen Linien deuten die Wellen und die Schwingung an, den die Figur ausstrahlt.
Karina Ludborzha is a painter and illustrator living in Latvia, whose works have been exhibited nationally as well as in Latvia, Russia, and Bulgaria. Even as a child, she knew that art was her calling. Ludborzha's distinctive landscapes and still lifes are intended to convey positive emotions. In her artistic process, she most often uses oil, watercolor, and acrylic on canvas or paper.
