About this artwork
My inspiration for this art piece comes from the classic movie "An Affair to Remember". I could watch this movie over and over again. I used my own colour scheme and technique. I don't want to give away too much detail so there is room enough for you own imagination.
« I am a happy and dreamy person. I paint subjects that affect and touch me. During my work, I always have music on. Without it, I will not get going at all! »
Karlien Hamel-Kuperus is an artist based in the Netherlands who has exhibited her works nationally. The main theme in her art is women, whom she portrays in varying atmospheres and situations. Hamel-Kuperus mostly paints women because she can easily imagine herself in similar situations. Her vibrant figurative compositions are created using acrylics and spray paint on linen.
