About this artwork

This series is part of my experience during Lock Down!
Paint a rainbow for the front-line staff!
What a strange world! This is a time where I listened to my heart, while it spoke softly. I heard the whispers of nature all around me. Intuition became sharp and awareness and inspiration became sharp and acute. The superfluous noise of mind and the everyday hustle and bustle died down… and what was left felt true and magical.
This piece speaks of the… gratitude felt for the front-line medical staff – the cleaner, the doctor, the nurse, the paramedics, the lab personnel, the caregiver, that became the only friend and companion!
The colours of the rainbow come to play in this artwork, showing gratitude, honouring, and saluting! In the white, there are marks – deliberately made to look cracked – knowing how the hard work, long hours and pressure made some people break apart and come off at the seams.
