About this artwork
Tamara de Lempicka was a very popular painter in 1920's and 1930's during the Art Deco movement. She was known as a Baroness with a Brush. During the IIWW she moved to the States where she painted mainly celebrity portraits. Her paintings were again popular in the 1960's and since that time, because both Art Deco art, vintage and the Glamour Interiors have been in vague ever since. Our artist - Kasia Kaldowski, has been approached by one of…
our collectors, who entrusted her to re-create one of Tamara's painting, Woman in Red, with a modern face and slightly more natural look. This painting is now sold, but the artist is happy to take more similar commissions.

« I'm a very restless soul. When creating one piece, I already plan a different one, often in a different style that I haven't tried before. »
Kasia Kaldowski describes her artistic expression as the experimentation with varying techniques that best reflect the mood of an image, or a message that she wants to convey. With a style that ranges from Turneresque landscapes to abstract, as well as as "dynamic dance paintings", and pop art, Kaldowski's diverse compositions are created with acrylics on canvas.
