About this artwork

Garden Meadow was inspired by the colourful abundance of wild, untamed gardens. I used layered oils to capture the movement, light and energy of flowers growing freely side by side. Instead of focusing on single blooms, I wanted to paint the joyful atmosphere of being surrounded by colour and life.

The composition continues around the sides of the canvas, so the meadow flows beyond the front surface.

Kasia Kaldowski describes her artistic expression as the experimentation with varying techniques that best reflect the mood of an image, or a message that she wants to convey. With a style that ranges from Turneresque landscapes to abstract, as well as as "dynamic dance paintings", and pop art, Kaldowski's diverse compositions are created with acrylics on canvas.
