About this artwork
When painting, I am guided by intuition, feelings and perceptions. It is a conversation with the deeper layers of myself. So I always paint what I need at a given moment. The painting was made in a time of constraint and manipulation. Painting it was therapy for me, because it processed all the dark feelings and led me out, towards the light. I was exploring the depth and multidimensionality, the fluidity and softness of light and the female body.
