About this artwork
I painted this meadow some time ago, but I felt it wasn’t quite finished. It has been waiting for its moment ever since. Right at the transition from winter to spring, at a time when we all need more sunshine and the lighthearted playfulness that nature’s creatures bring us.
I enhanced the watercolor with gilding, and the painting came to life. As gentle and light as a breath, yet playful and full of life.
