This painting is a depiction of a wetland ( Woodhus Slough) at dusk in late autumn. This local Slough is an important wetland, providing year round and seasonal habitat to dozens of permanent and migratory birds, mammals, insects and other species crucial to a healthy ecosystem.
It lies alongside a popular walk between a river estuary and the Salish Sea off Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
