About this artwork
The painting 'Crystal Lights #4' is part of a series in which light is a central design element. Using a palette knife, I create superimposed layers of color in pink and orange, as well as rhythmic structures, resulting in a tension between clarity and dissolution, in which the light opens up new pictorial spaces.
The work was created on stone paper, whose smooth surface allows for exceptional luminosity and depth of color – ideal for capturing… the interplay of light and movement. The work measures 118 × 84 cm, the image itself 114 × 81 cm.

Her painting exists in the tension between structure and dissolution. Drawing on the craft tradition of decorative papermaking, she combines her knowledge of color, rhythm, and material with contemporary abstract painting. Inspired by memories of Samarkand and the light of her childhood, she explores how order arises, disintegrates, and reforms—always searching for that moment when structure becomes permeable and light emerges from within.
