In creating this piece, I captured the serene dance between light and shadow under the water's surface. There's an ethereal quality as my model suspends, floating between two worlds, embodying a silent tranquillity. The vibrant colours and fluid movement convey a sense of liberation, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in this moment of peaceful escape. It's an invitation to let go, to bask in the art's calm, uplifting energy that can transform… any space into a haven of quiet reflection.

Kerry A. Inkster is a painter and photographer based in Australia whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through the use of harmonious colors and the "aesthetics of chance", she fuses expressionist backgrounds with pop art foregrounds. Inkster explores themes relating to beautiful and strong women who defy convention. Her distinctive figurative pieces often depict women being cocooned by water, as well as emerging from it.
