In La Source XXII, from the Mont-Saint-Michel series, I present a symbolic vision of origin, where the spring becomes a point of convergence between the earthly and the sacred. The central shell, open and luminous, evokes birth, revelation, and access to inner knowledge. The flow emanating from it embodies a vital energy, a continuous circulation between matter and spirituality. Around it, fragmented motifs construct a visual narrative where each… element acts as a sign, poised between myth, memory, and transformation.
Through this composition, I explore the idea of a universal, invisible but essential source that nourishes both the world and being.
Kiká Gómez Ilian is a French-Spanish painter, trained at the Toulon School of Fine Arts, who uses painting, drawing, and digital tools to create unique works that blend tradition and technology. She develops her images from hand-drawn sketches, then refines them with digital painting techniques and prints them as unique pigment prints, in a figurative and surreal style imbued with archetypes and dreamlike qualities. Her work conveys an emotion that hovers between dream, memory, and perception, inviting each viewer to explore their own personal recollections.
