About this artwork
In this piece, I experimented with spray paint and acrylics to create a vibrant blend of nature and urban flair. The flowers symbolize hope and growth, while the flowing black lines express emotion and movement, conveying a gentle yet powerful energy that brings freshness and vibrancy to any space. This painting breathes life and invites you to dream.
The edges of the canvas are also sprayed accordingly. The painting's title has nothing to do with… the capital of the Philippines, but refers to the name of the green spray paint used for the flowers. The background colors are sprayed in metallic shades. Depending on the light, these shimmer differently.
Kiki Bragard is a passionate painter with international experience who began her artistic journey in the 1980s at the Aachen School of Design and has continuously developed her skills through influences in metropolises such as Tokyo, Brussels, and New York. Her style is characterized by vibrant, bold areas of color, sometimes sketchy lines, and an experimental approach to diverse materials and techniques – from realistically abstracted cityscapes to expressive landscapes. Her works radiate joie de vivre, energy, and color, conveying optimism and prompting reflection on both urban and private life.
