About this artwork
My painting of sunset with jetty houses shows a dreamlike, fictional scene. The color palette consists of bright turquoise, warm ochre and intense orange, which immerse the sky and the surroundings in a harmonious atmosphere.
On the horizon, the colors meet in soft transitions that emphasize the depth of the picture. The jetty houses, which stand on slender piles above the water, have clear, geometric shapes with an almost surreal, 3D structure… that leads into the depth of the painting.
The light and mystical rays of the sunset reflect in the windows of the houses and on the smooth surface of the water, giving the picture a magical, almost dreamy mood.
