About this artwork
I love the delicate blossoms of autumn anemones every year. In this picture, I've combined them with a rather abstract background that reminds me a bit of wallpaper patterns. I like the contrast between the more realistically rendered blossoms and the flat shapes.
I have often noticed that this picture beautifully brightens up dark corners in the room.
The picture is set in a white-glazed shadow gap frame (gallery frame). For storage reasons,… I only attach the hooks before shipping.
Kirsten Treis is a freelance painter from the Rhineland. Her works explore nature and landscapes. The artist typically transforms her random observations of everyday situations, which she first captures on camera. She is often drawn to the play of light. In her studio, these colorful, vibrant works emerge. The viewer's gaze falls on wildflowers and garden flowers, sometimes in bud, sometimes in full bloom, but also in decline. Anyone who observes blossoms will always be delighted by the diverse insects that visit them. Butterflies flutter through paintings, and bees and bumblebees seek out colorful blossoms. Kirsten Treis works with acrylic paints on canvas. She applies the paint in multiple layers, sometimes allowing the underlying colors to show through. The painter works in a modern, realistic style and appreciates the change and play with semi-abstract sequences.
Kirsten Treis donates 3% of the proceeds from a picture sale to nature conservation projects.
