Textured Abstract Art - Original modern black art, inspired by the great French painter Pierre Soulages. It has many layers of quality acrylic paint and texture paste, then finished with a coat of fine semi gloss varnish to protect the painting from UV rays and dust.

Klara Gunnlaugsdottir is an experienced artist with international exposure. Her works are held in private collections worldwide. Her work is abstract in style and made using acrylic and mixed media techniques. With multiple layers of paint and different texture mediums, she builds depth and texture onto the canvas. She is primarily inspired by the natural world, especially the landscapes of her native Iceland. Like nature, her work depicts the opposition between light and dark, rough and smooth, thick and thin.
