About this artwork
The view from my window - Original painting created during the COVID19 lockdown in France, where I am currently living. This painting has many layers of fluid acrylic quality paint and just a little bit of texture paste. Bold brush strokes, giving interesting light and movement. Finished with a coat of fine semi gloss varnish to protect the painting from UV rays and dust.
Painted on gallery wrapped canvas stretched on wooden frame and stapled on… the back. The edges are painted in black, framing is not required and the artwork comes “ready to hang”. The painting is signed on the back and delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity. For questions and all further informations do not hesitate to contact me.

Klara Gunnlaugsdottir is an experienced artist with international exposure. Her works are held in private collections worldwide. Her work is abstract in style and made using acrylic and mixed media techniques. With multiple layers of paint and different texture mediums, she builds depth and texture onto the canvas. She is primarily inspired by the natural world, especially the landscapes of her native Iceland. Like nature, her work depicts the opposition between light and dark, rough and smooth, thick and thin.
