About this artwork
In creating this piece, I sought to intertwine the raw textures of modeling paste with the fluidity of acrylic and ink, expressing an abstract yet semi-abstract vision. The organic circles and vibrant greens evoke a sense of growth and vitality, reminiscent of moss thriving on an ancient stone. It’s a representation of nature’s persistent push against the constructs of time and decay. This painting will bring a breath of life and a soothing presence… to any space.
This artwork is part of the « Mossy Green Series », drawing inspiration from the diverse beauty of moss found in my native country Iceland. The sides are painted in same color as the background of the painting, so framing is not required and it arrives ready to hang. Signed and dated on the back.
« I paint simply because it makes me feel good, and gives me lot of fulfillment, it is my way to express myself and communicate with the world. »
