“Tosi” reaches for what is higher – memories that can almost be touched. It is a sculpture about memory and presence; about those who are gone yet remain with us through thoughts and the act of returning home.
Konrad Ziolkowski is a Polish sculptor working primarily in stone, bronze, and mixed media, carrying on his family's sculptural heritage and academic training from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts. He employs a synthesis of traditional and contemporary techniques, combining the endurance of stone with the expressive potential of bronze and elements like glass and light, crafting simplified, symbolic forms and integrating original texts with each piece. His sculptures evoke deep introspection, inviting viewers into a personal, emotional dialogue that resonates with memory, tenderness, and the poignant ambiguity of human experience.
