About this artwork
For these pictures I use paper cutouts from renowned art magazines as a starting point for my work. I specifically select images that have an appealing visual composition. These selected images serve as a source of inspiration for my creative transformation.
During the painting process, I free the cut-out images from their original contextuality to give them new levels of meaning and thus provide the viewer with a fresh perspective. I am guided… by the colors, shapes and textures of the images in order to integrate them harmoniously into my own artistic world.
The resulting work of art is a fusion of the initial images and my individual creative vision. This re-contextualization creates a multi-layered viewing opportunity that goes beyond the original narrative and invites the viewer to discover new levels of meaning.
