About this artwork
This is an interpretation of Canova's sculpture based on the myth of the abduction of Proserpine. Unlike Canova, I focus on a man's aggression against a woman based on sexual desire.
With gender inequality, when a man occupies a dominant role, he is often inclined to show cruelty towards a woman. But it is interesting to note that in sexual role-playing games it is one of the favorite topics of many couples. A man's dominance in bed and aggressive,… owner role often causes excitement in many women. We like to obey in bed, but in life we demand equality. What is this? Archetypes of slaves who have submitted to their masters for millennia, who wake up in us women? In any case, it is one of the manifestations of disharmony in which we balance ourselves trying to find a balance within ourselves. The picture is painted with fluorescent red which illuminates in the dark with the UV lamp.
