About this artwork
The work is part of the project "Surrounded by Waves", in which the past and the present intertwine through vibrations of energy.
The sculpted faces and bodies evoke Hellenistic art, but here they dissolve into a dynamic flow of waves and light. The cemented, folded and painted fabric simulates matter that transforms, like a memory that surfaces and dematerializes in the digital.
The blue and fluorescent tones suggest a connection between the organic… and the virtual, between the tangible and the evanescent. The absence of defined boundaries and the fragmentation of the form convey the idea of a memory in continuous reworking, which is reconstructed through time and technology.
"Ricordo Ellenistico" invites the viewer to reflect on the dialogue between history and contemporaneity, between the solidity of memory and the fluidity of the present.
