About this artwork

This diptych, consisting of two paintings, each measuring 90x60 cm, explores the playful and passionate world of winter romance. I focus on attraction, rivalry, and trust against snowy mountains, inspired by retro aesthetics, pop art, and classic romantic style.

In the first painting, I show two women — a skier and a snowboarder — in a passionate kiss against snowy peaks and a blue sky. Their red retro suits emphasize their feminine curves, while… the text on their backs — “Skiers Are Hotter” and “Snowboarders Are Hotter” — adds humor and highlights their rivalry. Standing on skis and a snowboard in high heels, they bring glamour and boldness to the winter landscape.

The second painting shows a romantic couple gliding down the snowy slope in a kiss. The man, in a black-and-white tuxedo, carries the woman as they descend a slope marked with the sign “Experts Only.” This sign adds a playful meaning — like in love, challenging routes require courage, trust, and passion.
