About this artwork
In my work I am not interested in the concrete depiction of a landscape, but rather in the feeling that a place or a moment leaves behind.
"Sun" emerged from the search for light within depth and heaviness. During the painting process, forms dissolved, condensed, and opened again. The result is a painting that oscillates between memory, nature, and inner landscape.
The warm earth tones and transparent layers leave room for personal associations.… For me, "Sun" speaks of warmth, change, and the quiet power of light.
