About this artwork
In the beginning was the Word, and God spoke. And the darkness shook: where before it was empty and silent, light arose. Light divided day from night. It gave form to the formless, parted the waters, raised the firmament of the sky, and revealed horizons.
God commanded the earth to spring up and become covered with vegetation, gave the sun and moon a measure of time, and scattered the stars across the sky. He filled the seas and land with living… creatures, breathing the breath of life into every creature. And finally, He created man in His own image, entrusting him with the care and adornment of the perfect world.
This work was created based on memories of my journey in the mountains of Uzbekistan. I admire the nature created by the Creator and want every person to learn to take responsibility for preserving this nature in the pristine state in which it was left to us.
The work is framed in a wooden frame.
