About this artwork
Some paintings begin with colour. This one began with sound — the weight of rain hitting glass, the way a downpour erases everything behind it and leaves only movement.
L'Averse is a single panel from a diptych. Silver, bronze, and warm pearl grey flow vertically across the full height of the canvas, interrupted by thin veins of cobalt blue — like cracks of sky breaking through a storm. The texture is dense and physical: layered acrylic builds ridges… and channels that catch light differently throughout the day.
The edges are painted in a soft dusty blue, giving the panel a finished, object-like presence on the wall. No frame needed.
Available as a single panel or as a diptych of two panels.
The title is French for a sudden downpour. Not gentle rain — the kind that makes you stop and watch.
