About this artwork
To create this painting, I merged my favorite mediums of watercolor and photography, in encaustic (which is a mixture of beeswax and natural resin).
From this mixture of techniques, results a semi-abstract work inviting one to escape, to float in a bubble, to dream.
With its soft hues, vaporous encaustic finish, and touches of gold, this painting embodies a serene refuge, suspended in time, inviting contemplation and escape.

Laetitia Vasseur is a French artist with technical training in graphic arts and photography.
Her work explores the theme of landscape, which she reinvents by blending real and abstract elements. Through the combination of photography and watercolor, she creates compositions that blur our boundaries and invite escape. This approach questions our way of perceiving the landscape, between reality and imagination.
Her semi-abstract style is based on a meticulous process that combines watercolor, encaustic, and photography. These techniques harmonize to create works where materials merge in a delicate balance.
Without seeking to theorize his gesture, the artist strives above all to transmit the emotion which drives him throughout the creative process.
