“Shimmering Deep”
While I was painting it, I imagined the surface of a glowing lagoon.
Think rich ultramarine, teal, and turquoise swirling together, with little bursts of gold shining through like hidden treasure.
Up close, you can see thick ridges of paint catching the light, while softer, hazy strokes sit underneath to hint at deeper, quieter water.
I finished it off with a floating silver frame.
The frame’s cool shine makes the blues sparkle… even more, so the whole piece seems to shimmer and breathe when light hits it.
My goal was to capture that calm, glowing moment when the sea quietly shows its secret light.
I hope "Shimmering Deep" gives you that same peaceful, luminous feeling.
