About this artwork
Lion is the king of animals. Lions are independent, proud and full of dignity. They never agree to compromise. Everything happens just the way they need it. Lions are able to control any situation and to solve any problem. Every animal trembles before lions, realizing their superiority. I started painting this picture in the year when all these troubles began to befall the world - in 2020. Then this picture was in black and white. This lion gives…
me confidence. I hung it opposite my bed. When I wake up, I always look into the calm lion's eyes and am filled with positive motivation. I get the impression that this lion looks into my eyes and understands everything without words. Suddenly 2022 came, and I, as a Ukrainian, felt all the despair it brought. Art is therapy. I continued painting under the sound of sirens and explosions. I decided to change image of lion so that he could instill in me more confidence than in 2020. So the lion's mane became multi-colored.
