About this artwork
The artwork is born from a desire for reflection and connection with humanity, combining dark blue and bright reflections that evoke the universe. Blue symbolizes infinity, while the ceramic effect emphasizes the vulnerability of the human condition, marked by wars and conflicts. Through the Japanese technique of kintsugi, which repairs broken ceramics with gold, my work tells the story of the strength that can be found in wounds. The fractures of… the world are transformed into golden lines, expressing a humanity that, despite the pain, continues to rebuild itself. The contrast between rupture and repair offers a profound vision of our reality, inviting us to reflect on the scars of the past and the possibilities of healing. Thus, the work becomes a meditation on the resilience and beauty that we can find in the process of rebuilding. This concept is at the heart of my book "From East to West towards an Inner Journey", where I talk about what it means to be human.
