About this artwork
For me, horses and water symbolize a sense of freedom. Why? Well, for one thing, during the long summer holidays, I spent time with my grandparents, where I could easily take a horse and gallop across the vast steppe and even the Ural Mountains in the morning. Then I could head to a mountain river, where I could bathe the horse and, of course, boast to my friends how, like a true cowboy, even though I'm from the city, I can ride so well. I wanted… to recapture this feeling of freedom on my canvas and call this work "Sans Frontieres." Perhaps this canvas will remind you of something too. Enjoy!
« In every painting I look for the essence of what I want to portray, people, animals, landscapes, as always I seek to incorporate one’s soul and emotions. »
