For the year 2022, I wanted to work mainly with pencils using a limited palette of 5 colors: blue, purple, fuchsia, orange and yellow.
After creating several portraits, I returned to my favorite subject: landscapes, whether urban or natural.
This is the National Art Museum of Catalonia, located in Barcelona, and better known as MNAC.
Laurène Pinon, born in 1998, is a French designer. Passionate about the arts since a young age, she completed a master's degree in animated cinema. During confinement, she drew landscapes to escape and quickly developed a taste for it. Since then, she has sketched Parisian monuments before broadening her horizons. Her solo travels in Europe inspired her to embark on a major project: asking the people she met to tell, in their mother tongue, about the place dearest to their hearts in their country of origin, and thus help them discover the world from another angle, through the eyes of those who bring it to life. Laurène translates them to ensure accessibility. Thus was born "A History of the World, Told by the World".
Since 2023, she has started a series with a particular technique. Liking to experiment, she discovered the use of pastel on canvas, quite unknown at the moment, and creates interesting contrasts and plays of texture.
