Resonanzfeld – Impact
A violent burst of energy erupts at the center of the composition, where red pigment explodes across a dark, textured surface like a sonic shockwave frozen in time. The embedded structure—radiating outward in sharp, rhythmic lines—evokes both a sacred relic and a detonated core, blurring the boundary between construction and rupture.
The dripping gestures extend the moment of impact downward, transforming force into duration,… as if the sound continues to resonate beyond the initial strike. Black matter accumulates like scars or residues of collision, grounding the composition in a physical, almost visceral reality.
This work explores the instant where sound becomes matter—where a gesture, like a pizzicato attack, fractures silence and leaves behind a charged field of resonance.

Laura Buruiana is a multidisciplinary artist and internationally acclaimed concert cellist of Romanian origin, based in France — a cellist by day and a painter by night.
