About this artwork
"Busenfreundin" is a tongue-in-cheek homage to the diversity of female bodies. With a few, clear lines and delicate color gradients, the work depicts three different breast shapes – bluntly, humorously, yet full of warmth. The reduction to the essentials draws attention to what often disappears behind ideal images: authenticity, naturalness, and individuality.
The bright pink-lilac background underscores the playful lightness of the motif and confidently… showcases the shapes. "Busenfreundin" celebrates bodies in all their facets – without filters, without perfection, but with plenty of charm.
The work was created as part of Pinktober – International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this time, awareness, solidarity, and self-care are the focus. With "Busenfreundin," the artist not only wants to draw attention to the importance of this topic but also convey a positive, self-confident body image.
