About this artwork
"Fruity Twist" transforms everyday fruits into a playful face that hovers between humor and pop art aesthetics. Avocados for eyes, a strawberry for a nose, and a bright yellow banana for a mouth create a tongue-in-cheek character that instantly evokes a smile.
The intense, bright blue background lends depth to the composition and illuminates the vibrant colors of the fruit. With clear contours, deliberately placed color contrasts, and an ironic… wink, the work combines freshness, joy, and artistic wit.
Laura Isabel Koch, shaped by the storms and sunshine of her life, studied painting and creative writing.
She skillfully masters the use of vibrant acrylic paints and mixed media elements, playing with color contrasts and creating works full of structure and depth. The artist's bold and often intuitive brushstrokes bring emotions to the canvas that touch the human heart and express hope, joy, and love.
Her works are exhibited internationally – including in New York, Paris, Dubai, Mallorca, Grenada, Berlin and Switzerland – but exhibitions in smaller towns in her Wetterau homeland are also close to her heart.
She regularly participates in international art competitions and calls for entries in order to continuously develop her work and maintain dialogue with the art scene.
