About this artwork
A pink lobster? Of course!
This work isn't a still life—it's a party. A crustacean in ecstasy, in the midst of a riot of color.
"Dance of the Claws" features an energetic lobster that refuses to be decorative. Instead, it clatters across the canvas, surrounded by wild splashes of paint, hearts, and a touch of madness.
This picture isn't for gray walls. It's a statement—for courage, color, and the art of dancing with scissors instead of belittling… oneself.
Anyone who hangs "Dance of the Scissors" on their wall is consciously choosing against boredom and for a little more bite in their everyday life!
Laura Isabel Koch, shaped by the storms and sunshine of her life, studied painting and creative writing.
She skillfully masters the use of vibrant acrylic paints and mixed media elements, playing with color contrasts and creating works full of structure and depth. The artist's bold and often intuitive brushstrokes bring emotions to the canvas that touch the human heart and express hope, joy, and love.
Her works are exhibited internationally – including in New York, Paris, Dubai, Mallorca, Grenada, Berlin and Switzerland – but exhibitions in smaller towns in her Wetterau homeland are also close to her heart.
She regularly participates in international art competitions and calls for entries in order to continuously develop her work and maintain dialogue with the art scene.
