About this artwork
Disturbo is my vivid and emotionally charged representation of mental disturbance. Through intense interplay of colors and bold, sweeping brushstrokes, I sought to evoke a sense of chaos and inner turmoil.
The dominant reds and purples express feelings of anger, passion, and confusion—emotions that suggest a mind in conflict. These hues are deeply personal and reflective of intense emotional states I wanted to convey. The flashes of yellow and hints… of green bring contrast and complexity, symbolizing those fleeting moments of clarity or hope that emerge amidst the overwhelming disorder.
The dynamic motion in my brushstrokes mirrors the turbulence within the mind. Jagged lines and swirling patterns pulse with energy, while the absence of clear shapes or forms reflects the challenge of finding coherence and stability during periods of mental distress.
With Disturbo, I aimed to capture the raw, visceral experience of mental disturbance, using color and form to communicate it.
