About this artwork
I attempted to use a knife to create contrasts of color in order to create a movement as if the light were dancing on the canvas, and I chose oil paint and a linen canvas for this creation.
I invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the warm hues of a setting sun embracing the deep blues and icy reflections of a mysterious landscape created between abstraction and reality.
The painting is unframed. Glossy varnish.
Laurence Moretto is a painter using mainly oil and acrylic, combined with impasto gels. Renowned for her contemporary figurative style, her mastery of the brush and artist's knife leads to captivating and sometimes abstract works. More than a simple visual representation, Laurence's works are emanations of intense emotions and a reflection of his life experiences. She signs her paintings “laumo”. Trained by a classical master, after around thirty years evolving in a totally different career due to family obligations, she is now, finally, taking an active part in her expressiveness again.
