About this artwork
Through this work, I sought to convey a marine sensation rather than a specific landscape.
The deep blues and misty greys evoke the sea in its moments of silent calm.
The overlapping shapes suggest unstable water masses, reefs, or horizons.
I worked with the material to create a floating effect, as if everything were suspended.
The diffused light is reminiscent of a heavy sky, just before or after a storm.
The erased areas symbolize the slow… movement of the currents.
The small orange square acts as a landmark, a beacon, or a distant lighthouse.
It represents the human presence in the face of the vastness of the sea.
This work is an invitation to contemplation.
