Inn Solacolu - Monument It retains its original facade extremely degradated
One of the luxurious buildings in Bucharest at the end of the 19th century, the Solacolu Inn was built in 1859 by two Bulgarian merchants from Istanbul, Alexei and Hristo Solacoglu brothers. Its architecture is exceptional thanks to the multitude of cultural influences. A detail of the original construction is a landing with window gallery, unique in Bucharest. It was a quiet,… friendly place for political discussions and business, but also for riots and looting plans. During the 1900, there were four luxury shops set up in the inn that set the tone for that time: workshops of couture for men of A. Peretz, E. Covaci, A. Critz and A. Popescu's sewing shop for women's clothing.

Laurentiu Dimisca is an award-winning painter, textile artist, and sculptor based in Romania who has exhibited his works nationally, in Switzerland, Italy, the United States, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, and France. As a narrative painter whose style is in the real of free figuration, Dimisca's compositions translate his own take on mythologies, as well as folk tales from his childhood. His vivid pieces are created using acrylics and pencils on canvas or cardboard.
