About this artwork
Mixed media on canvas (acrylic and oil colours, mixed with a special type of glue which makes the texture of the work particularly hard and lively). In creating this work, I tried to capture the essence of a peaceful piece of paradise. Using acrylics and oils, I painted a window opening onto a flower garden, a symbol of hope and rebirth. The lemons in the foreground are a metaphor, the fruits of life. Vaguely inspired by Matisse. The vibrant shades…
of Fauvism blend with the realism of natural elements, evoking a feeling of inner peace and timeless beauty. This canvas is an invitation to stop and admire the little joys of life.
